Roti, a staple food, is an authentic flat bread from the African continent. Centuries ago, it was considered to be a commoner's meal since it was mostly eaten by shepherds and farmers. However, today Roti is a popular meal item amongst all eastern and western foods. It provides the natural goodness of whole-wheat flour with bran.

All ingredients are combined into dough, cooled and then kneaded. The dough is then divided into smaller portions. Each portion is rolled out of the machine and baked to perfection.
Roti and Masala Roti can be rolled up for a quick fixing with either a spread of jam, sugar, peanut butter, fruit or other breakfast toppings. It can also be dipped with plain yogurt, chutneys, curries or eaten as a wrap. Basically, it is a substitute for bread.
Rotis and Masala Rotis are best served warm. Our uncooked Rotis are frozen, ready to cook.
For Uncooked Rotis, preheat dry pan (preferably non-stick) at medium-high. Cook frozen roti until air bubbles start to form inside (35-40 sec). Turn roti over and continue cooking (30-35 sec) while gently pressing bubbles with spatula to help roti fill with hot air.
Serve puffed rotis hot from the pan. Only previously cooked rotis should be reheated in the microwave.
